The prowess of the young women at Domremy, across sporting codes, knows no bounds.

Today we congratulate Alyssa in Year 9, who was recently selected to represent the Cook Islands in the Inaugural Australia - Pasifika Touch Cup 2023, which is the first competition to create a pathway for the elite Pacific touch players in Australia. This event is also a pathway for National and International events, with an opportunity to be considered for the World Cup to be held in England.

Alyssa was one of the youngest players to play alongside women who compete at an international level. Alyssa’s commitment and dedication to pre tournament training has been amazing and had her positioned to be a player of recognition; she participated in all 5 games, playing every minute of every game and scoring 5 tries. Cook Islands, Samoa, Papua New Guinea and Niue all competed, with the Cook Islands finally beating Samoa in the Grand Final, with Alyssa's efforts playing a big part in the Cook islands' successful campaign.

Alyssa also played against world class international stars in the Australian Touch Football world, when she participated in an invitational exhibition match between elite Indigenous and Maori players.

Well done Alyssa - what a tremendous opportunity and with your dedication and skill, a wonderful achievement! ¿¿¿
