Congratulations to the Domremy College Class of 2022 on your outstanding HSC results! 

We are delighted that our school ranked among the top 150 schools in the state, placing 149th in The Sydney Morning Herald rankings. 

We recorded 26 Distinguished Achievers who between them received 42 Band 6 Distinguished Achievements and one Top Achiever, with 84% of courses scoring results above the state average.

Antoinette McGahan, Principal, congratulates Year 12 on their fantastic efforts. 

“They worked hard over the years and really pulled together in Year 12,” Mrs McGahan said.

"We are proud of their achievements given as a cohort they overcame unprecedented challenges over the last two years. We commend all students but especially those whose results grew significantly beyond expectation," she said. 

Mrs McGahan also credited Domremy staff for playing their part in helping students achieve excellence. 

“Teachers' ongoing commitment to high standards and collaboration led to a range of targeted interventions that were instrumental in supporting students' learning confidence and self-efficacy,” she said. 

"New structures were put in place to mentor and assist students in developing and refining skills, understanding and examination technique. As always, staff at Domremy were generous with their time and expertise,” she added.

Here’s a recap of our 2022 HSC highlights:

  • Ranked 149th in NSW

  • 26 Distinguished Achievers lists the students who achieved a result in the highest band (Band 6 or Band E4) for one or more courses, not including results for courses studied external to their school - in total our 26 Distinguished Achievers received between them 42 Band 6 Distinguished Achievements

  • One Top Achiever - student who achieved one of the highest places in an HSC course or VET examination and also achieved a result in the highest band (Band 6 or Band E4)

  • 84% of courses scoring results above the state average

SCS Reports on its System success 

Sydney Catholic Schools has achieved outstanding results in the 2022 HSC with nine of its 33 schools ranked among the top 100 high schools in NSW.

A total of 17 schools ranked among the top 150 secondary schools, underlining Sydney Catholic Schools’ position as one of the top performing systems in Australia. 

Sydney Catholic Schools recorded an impressive 2630 Distinguished Achievers, 66 Top Achievers and 58 All Rounders.
