Success for the Debating Team

Our successful Year 10 History debaters had advanced to the Quarter Finals of the Metropolitan History Debating Competition. In this elite level of the competition they encountered an experienced, sophisticated and confident team from Newington College, Stanmore.The topic of debate was ‘That government policy 1945 has been effective in addressing women’s rights’. The Domremy team took the negative view and won.

Once again we congratulate our debaters who demonstrated highly-disciplined and concisely-argued team line with flair and erudition, commitment and compassion. This outstanding result has enabled them to move forward to the next stage of this challenging competition: the semi-finals against The Kings School, Parramatta.
