2017 is the year of the Australian Catholic Youth Festival 2017 (ACYF). This year from 7 - 9

2017 is the year of the Australian Catholic Youth Festival 2017 (ACYF). This year from 7 - 9 December, Sydney will be hosting the ACYF. The ACYF is a national gathering of Catholic young people announced by the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference. ACYF is a social event for youth in order to provide young people with opportunities to deepen their relationship with Jesus and be empowered with their relationship to God. Many speakers and presenters from Australia and overseas will be at the festival, including Father Rob Galea, whom some may recall as a former X Factor contestant.

The festival’s theme is Open new horizons for spreading joy: Young people, faith and vocational discernment.

Our journey towards the ACYF has begun! The very exciting national event will draw over 15,000 young people at Sydney Olympic Park.

In the lead up to the festival, all students in Year 9, 10 and 11 are invited to immerse themselves in the events which will be hosted and experience a taste of what the Festival experience promises to be!

For more information students can contact the Youth Ministry Co-ordinator at the College.

Further information can also be found on the ACYF website at http://youthfestival.catholic.org.au/

The website also displays a countdown timer to the big event, so stay tuned for further updates as we get closer.
