Open Day Inspires Spirits and Minds

Last week all Catholic schools in NSW and the ACT celebrated Catholic Schools Week and our College Open Day coincided with this special week. This year, Sydney Catholic Schools adopted the theme Inspiring Spirits and Minds. The theme highlights the rich spiritual, academic, and social aspects of a Catholic education and draws inspiration from Pope Francis, who has called the Holy Spirit a gift which inspires a deeper understanding of God’s word and the teachings of Jesus.

Sunday 12 March turned on a picture perfect day for our Open Day. It was a huge success and the theme Inspiring Spirits and Minds was certainly evident in our College community on the day.

A special thank you to the many parents, staff and students who ensured a vibrant, happy and smoothly run Open Day and who ensured a wall welcome to our many visitors. The sense of community, warmth and hospitality has become very much the essence of Domremy College; we are particularly proud of our many student ambassadors who volunteered all day and assisted so beautifully.
